(1+1)^2+1 first you do 1+1=2 then 2 squared is 4 finally 4+1=5

This question needs to clearly state what kind of operations we are allowed to use. This kind of question often assumes only basic operations: adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, etc. Or rather, it should be stated that inserting additional numbers is allowed.
