If it is now 5:00 AM, then what time will it be in 100 hours?

I did the same thing. I happen to have memorized the fact that 96 hours represents four days, so I just added four more hours and got 9:00AM. Taking advantage of the fact that the time cycled back to 5:00AM every 24 hours and that no real change could take place until the end when there weren't enough hours left for it to cycle back to the starting position. It's like when you work with a circle and you're given an angle that's over 360 degrees, only much easier because you're dealing with a more familiar unit and smaller numbers.

Did the same thing. Thanks for the solution.
We know that:
1 0 0 ≡ 4 mod 2 4
Therefore, the times 100 hours later is: 5 : 0 0 + 4 : 0 0 = 9 : 0 0 A M
We have a given time of 5:00 AM. The next 24 hours is till 5:00 AM. So we find the biggest multiple of 24 lesser than 100, which is 96. We have an excess 4 more hours, so we add that to our given time, so that it would be 100 hours. The answer is 9:00 AM
That is actually what I did to figure it out.
we can use a simple technique to solve these kind of problems with time. Eg: If it is 25 hrs later we just add 1 hr for the current time. If it is 50 hrs later we just add 2 hrs for CT( Current time). CT+1 (for 25 hrs); CT+2 (for 50 hrs); CT+4 (for 100 hrs) and so on........
Let's say a day would have had 25 hours so 100 means 4 day now discounting 1 hour per day means 5 am plus 4 hours.. Simple
Adding any multiple of 24 hours to a time will result in the same time. Given that 96 is a multiple of 24, we know that in 96 hours, the time will still be 5:00 am. Therefore, 4 hours after that, the time will be 9:00 am.
100/12= 8.33 12 is half of 24(a day) so 4.33 days 4 hours from 5 is 9 then process of elimination
There are 24 hours in 1 day. After 4 days there will be 96 hours consumed on that same 5:00AM. Add 4 hours more will equal to 100 hours. 5:00AM plus 4 hours equals 9:00AM!
After 4 days itwill show 5wm ie after 96hrs. 4hrs left so 9am.
If 3 days is 72hours add another 24 hours to get 96 hours. The difference between 100 and 96 is 4 so add four onto the start tine to get 9ami
8 times it take complete round till 5 am then for 100 it go to 4 hours more than it will be 9 am. since 8 is even number so AM time not change
100 = 24×4 +4. So 4 Days and 4 Hours later. 4 hours after 5:00 AM is 9:00 AM
100/24 is 25/6 which is 4 and 1/6 remainder. This fraction 1/6 means 4/24 in terms of hours. Then 4 hours plus 5 a.m. is 9 a.m.
Since 100=8*12=96+4=100,96 hrs the time could be 5 .00A.m then by adding 4 hrs we get 9.00a.m.
I computed it manually with 24 hours from 5AM to 5AM the next day and hence plus 4 hours to complete 100 hours. So it's 9 AM
100hours:24h =4 days but we have four hours remaining if we add 5:00 AM +HOURS WE GET 9:00AN
24/100=4, +4hours 5:00am+4=9:00am
100=24×4+4, 100th hour from now would be four days and four hour later from now. So after 100th hour it would be 5AM+four hour=9AM
100hrs/24hrs(1day)=4days+4hrs Which results to 5am on 4th day+4hrs=9am on 4th day or 9am after 100 hours.
after 24 hour time will be same ...therefore for 100 hour 24 multiply by 4 will be 96 and time wil be same ....and remaning 4 hour would be add to 5 AM resulting to 9 AM....simple
Simple solution: 48 hours + 48 hours = 96 hours. 5:00 AM exactly 4 days later is still 5:00 AM, so you just add the remaining 4: 9:00 AM
100((24+24+24+24)+4) ----------->5AM+4Hours=9AM
We know that the day is 24 hours, so 100 hours = 96 hours with 4 days + 4
So the time will be 5:00 + 4:00 = 9:00 AM
Another way to look at it:
If it's 5am that means there are 19 hrs remaining to complete the 24hrs cycle. So that leaves you adding 19 + (24*3) = 91 thus knowing it is 9 am
After 96 hours it'll be 5 am again just add 4 to it
1 day. So after 24 hours the time is always same =>100 %24 = 4 hours (Extra Left). Add 4 to 5. We get 9am
We know that 24 hours = 1 day. So after 24 hours the time is always same =>100 %24 = 4 hours (Extra Left). Add 4 to 5. We get 9 A.M.
100 hours / 24 = [whatever the number] with a remainder of 4
So 5:00 + 4:00 = 9:00
12*8=96 96/2=48 there are 48 days and 4 hours in 100 hrs therefore 5+4=10 therefore it's 9 AM
100 hours leading to 48 days? Are you sure?
i think you have made a mistake that 100 hours equal 48 days and 4 hours. It's just 4 days and 4 hours
100÷12=8. Remainder =4. 5AM+4=9AM
Remainder of 100/24 is 4.
So 5AM+4 hours is 9AM

Since 1 0 0 = 2 4 × 4 + 4 , so 100 hours would be 4 days and 4 hours later.
4 hours after 5:00 AM would be 9:00 AM.
