According to the question the following equation can be formed:(Let the father's age be x)

1/3x-5=1/4(x-5)

x=45

so your age is 1/3x=1/3*45=15

But you have turned 16:)

I wish you had mentioned that it was "one fourth of my father's age 5 years ago" too...a tiny detail :)
