If statement a is correct then c and d should also be correct but c and d are controversial statements so a cannot be correct => a is false.

Since a is false => c is false.

Since a and c are false => d and e are true.

Since d and e are not both false => b is true.

Answer: 3 (b,d,e)

That doesn't work.
(a) Statement (c) and (d) are both true. (b) Statement (d) and (e) are not both false. (c) Statement (a) is true. (d) Statement (c) is false. (e) Statement (a) and (c) are both false.

If A is false, than C and D are true. If C and D are true, than (according to D, which says C is false, making A false) we have an infinite loop. If A is true, C and D make another paradox. I know that A being false does not mean D and C being false, but then it is a matter of bad wording.

Correction: If A is false then either c AND d are false or c OR d is false.

If statement a is correct then c and d should also be correct but c and d are controversial statements so a cannot be correct.

If we take b as correct then we should see d and e.c is wrong as a is wrong and also a and c are wrong because both state same thing.

This means statement b,d and e are correct.
