Adam can see Bob and Charlie, Bob can see Charlie and Charlie is blindfolded they each are asked in order if they know what color hat they're wearing. The answers were,

Adam, no

Bob, no

Charlie, yes

What color was Charlie's hat?

2 solutions

If not everyone can wear white then if Adam knew that if Bob and Charlie were both wearing white then he must be wearing black. But he didn't know. Then Bob must know that if Charlie was wearing a white hat then Bob must be wearing black. But he wasn't so Charlie's hat must be black

They all are standing in line ok ..main point is that "not every one can wear white" keep in mind that.now get in to the answers Adam answered no i,e other two people not wearing two white hats if they weared he would yes becoz he came to know what he has ......so now the probability for bob and Charlie is B and B or W and B or B and W....bob can see Charlie if they asked bob he used to see Charlie and say the answer then he said no i,e he saw the black colour hat in Charlie's head if he saw white he would say yes ..so the answer is black....i think charlie is clever
