Six identical resistors of resistance 6 Ω 6\ \Omega each are to be connected across terminals A A and B B . Over all the arrangements of the resistors, what is the minimum current i min i_{\text{min}} (in Amperes) that can flow through the ammeter?

Note: All elements in the circuit are ideal.

6 6 1 36 \frac{1}{36} 1 6 \frac{1}{6} 1 1 None of these choices 36 36

Current in the circuit will be minimum when Resistance of the circuit is maximum and that's the Case when all six 6 Ω 6\ \Omega resistors are connected in series to give R net = 36 Ω R_{\text{net}}=36\ \Omega .
i min = V R net = 1 6 \Large \therefore i_{\text{min}}=\dfrac{V}{R_{\text{net}}}=\boxed{\color{#007fff}{\dfrac{1}{6}}}
