f ( x ) = 2 x 4 x 3 + c x 2 + x 2 f(x)=2x^4-x^3+cx^2+x-2

For x+2 to be a factor then f(x) / (x+2) has remainder of 0.

Using synthetic division ( -2 is divisor) remainder = 4c +36 = 0

Therefore, c= -9
