Is there a method of solving this without putting options???

I have the same question.

I solved it with a symmetric solution. Its very counterintuitive but it works

n^(n+1) * (n+1)^n = 72

n^(n+1) * (n+1)^n = 8 * 9

n^(n+1) * (n+1)^n = 2^3 * 3^2

n^(n+1) * (n+1)^n = 2^(2+1) * (2+1)^2

Therefore n = 2

(2^3)*(3^2)=72-----------> where n=2
