A bad driver

I'm driving along at a constant speed in my 3-meter-long car when I notice that I am accidentally driving through a red light. If the rear end of my car passes under the light 0.3 seconds after the front end of my car, how fast am I driving in m/s ?

The answer is 10.

S p e e d = D i s t a n c e / T i m e Speed = Distance / Time

Here, Total Distance = 3 m 3 m

And, Total Time = 0.3 s 0.3 s

then, The Overall Speed is = 3 0.3 = 10 m / s \frac{3}{0.3} = 10 m/s

Well done!!!!

Simple use v = s t v = \frac{s}{t} Put the value as s = 3 s = 3 and t = 0.3 t = 0.3 Simplify, and get- v = 3 0.3 = 10 . v = \frac{3}{0.3} = \fbox{10}.

  1. the car is 3 meters long
  2. if the rear of the car is under the light 0.3 seconds after the front of the car, the car is traveling 3 meters every 0.3 seconds, or 1 meter every tenth of a second.
  3. If the car is constantly traveling 1 meter every tenth of a second, then the car will travel 10 meters in one second.

the constant speed of the car is 10m/s

Using the formula d = r t d=rt , we have 3 = 0.3 r 3 0.3 = r 10 = r 3=0.3r\iff\frac{3}{0.3}=r\iff\boxed{10=r}

RTF: Speed Given: Distance = 3 meters Time = 0.3 seconds Using the formula for speed

Speed = D i s t a n c e T i m e \frac{Distance}{Time} = 3 0.3 \frac{3}{0.3} = 10 m s \frac{m}{s}

the question is asking the velocity of a car..the formula for velocity is D/T where d=distance and T=time so d= 3 meter T= 0.3 so...D/T=3/0.3=10 m/sec.

De acordo com o enunciado temos:

{ S = 3 m t = 0 , 3 s v = S = v t 3 = 0 , 3 t 3 t 10 = 3 t = 10 m / s \begin{cases} S = 3 \; m \\ t = 0,3 \; s \\ v = \end{cases} \\\\ S = v \cdot t \\ 3 = 0,3t \\\\ \frac{3t}{10} = 3 \\\\ \boxed{t = 10 \; m/s}

speed=distance/time =3/0.3 =10

Here is my solution.

v = s/t v = 3/0.3 v = 10
