To 2 decimal places, find the value of cos θ \cos \theta if sin θ = 4 5 \sin \theta = \frac{4}{5} for π 2 < θ < π \frac{ \pi}{2} < \theta < \pi .


The answer is -0.6.

Simple problem!! According to given condition θ lies between 90 and 180 , sinθ is positive, cosθ is negative. Solving for cosine function we get, cosθ = 3/5 or 0.6 since it is negative , the answer is -0.6
