Plot the curve y = 2 + cos ( 2 π x ) y = 2 + \cos(2\pi x) . Find the period of this graph.

solution: we have y - 2 =cos (2 pi x). which resembles the 'cosine' graph whose origin is shifted to (0 , 2). The period of cos (2 pi x ) is 2pi/2pi =1.
