Attach four carbon atoms to a central carbon atom. Now attach three tertiary butyl groups to each of these carbons. Then any longest carbon chain will have seven carbons only. Further attaching one more carbon anywhere in this structure will make the parent octane and so unacceptable

The formula of the highest acyclic alkane whose parent is heptane should be son of heptane :D
