A classical mechanics problem by Abhiram Rao

Classical Mechanics Level pending

A bullet of mass 30 g 30\text{ g} has a momentum 6 kg m/s 6 \text{ kg m/s} . It's velocity after a time t t is 1200 m/s 1200 \text{ m/s} . If the net force acting on it is 6 Newtons, then find the value of t t .

The answer is 5.

initial momentum = 6...and final momentum = 0.03x1200 = 36... therefore change in momentum = 30... hence f*t = 30....t=5 secs...
