A classical mechanics problem by Matthew McLean

Classical Mechanics Level pending

lets say a car traveled on a flat plain from point a to point b at 60 mph. The distance from point a to point b is 60 miles. It would take the car 1 hour to travel from point a to point b right? but what if instead of the car traveling on a flat plane points a and b were set up on a globe. On the globe traveling from a to b would be the same distance but would it take the same amount of time?

depends on what car you have depends on traction yes no
