Let the two parts be and 282-x Therefore by the problem, 1/8x:1/5(282-x)=4:3 3x/32 * 5x/(282-x) 15x/32 282-32x 15x=32 282-32x 15x+32x=32 282 47x=32 282 Therefore, x=32*6 =»192 Therefore, (282-x)=282-192 =» 90
