It follows the fibonacci sequence . The next term is 34 + 55 = 89 34 + 55 = \color{#69047E}{\boxed{89}} .

They are Fibonacci numbers. You get the next number by adding the previous two together i.e. 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8 and so on.
