A Different Mathematical Operation

Algebra Level 1

Look the operation sign \sharp :

4 1 = 5 4\sharp 1=5

5 2 = 9 5\sharp 2=9

6 3 = 15 6\sharp 3=15

7 4 = 23 7\sharp 4=23

Can you find 9 6 9\sharp 6 ?

72 54 63 45

4#1 = 4 + 1^2 = 4 + 1 = 5

5#2 = 5 + 2^2 = 5 + 4 = 9

6#3 = 6 + 3^2 = 6 + 9 = 15

7#4 = 7 + 4^2 = 7 + 16 = 23

So ,

9#6 = 9 + 6^2 = 9 + 36 = 45 :)

we see the diff. b/w 5&9 that is four ,then 6 ,then 8,then after 10 ,and after 10 that is 12

Yes! This is the fastest way at arriving at the answer. People get too distracted by trying to write out the equation.

See, here, the number to the right side of the symbol# is squared and then added to the number to its left side.
4#1 = 4 + 1 X 1 = 4 + 1 = 5
5#2 = 5 + 2 X 2 = 5 + 4 = 9
6#3 = 6 + 3 X 3 = 6 + 9 = 15
7#4 = 7 + 4 X 4 = 7 + 16 = 23
So,
9#6 = 9 + 6 X 6 = 9 + 36 = 45

Logo, precisamos somar 23 a 10+12, e encontraremos 9#6=45.
