A string supports a disc of radius R and mass M as shown.One end of the string is connected to a rigid support while the other end is connected to a spring of force constant k.Assume that there is no slippage between the string and the disc.Then the period of oscillation of the vertical motion of the disc in its plane is given by T. Given M=8kg & k=3N/mt.Find T in seconds.

nice you used energy / lagrangian approach instead of force / torque / newtonian approach. you should try my problems.
