The question doesn't say that he has to buy 4 pieces to get 1 free. So, when he pays for 64 pieces, he gets 16 more free. Now for these 16 more pieces, he further gets 4 more free. Finally, for these 4 , he gets 1 more piece free.

Total number of free gifts: 16 + 4 + 1 = 21 16+4+1=\boxed{21} pieces

For 64 Soaps 16 free soaps will be given

for 16 soaps 4 soaps will be given

For 4 soaps 1 soap will be given..

So total = 16 + 4 + 1 = 21

Good Job ...

Actually, the answer should be 16, because you can't win a gift on a gift...

if u returned to the problem ... it says " for every four pieces" it doesn't mention if they are gift or bought ... this the point of view and another thing there are other guys that solved it correctly ... and if u don't mistake u won't know new things so don't be sad :)
