Andy and Boris have the same walking speed.
They decide to have a race.
Andy walks the entire way,and finishes in exactly 3 hrs ( = 180 minutes.)
Boris covers the first half of the distance on horse (at 6 times his walking speed), and the second half of the distance on mule (at half his walking speed: it's a very stubborn mule.)
How many minutes does it take Boris to finish the race?

If Boris were walking, it would take him 90 minutes to cover the first half of the distance and another 90 to cover the second half.
For the first half, at 6 times his walking speed, it takes him 90/6 = 1 5 minutes.
For the second half, at half his walking speed, it takes him 90*2 = 1 8 0 minutes.
So the total number of minutes is 1 5 + 1 8 0 = 1 9 5 .
