PI Day - March 14, 2016 question

Geometry Level 3

Two circles p p and q q intersect at the shaded area.
Both have the same radii of 7 \sqrt7 , and
the distance between their centre, p q = 14 pq = \sqrt{14} .
Find the area of the shaded region.

Use the approximation, π = 22 7 \pi = \dfrac{22}7 .

If you substitute pi for 22/7 it comes out to exactly 4.
