The lengths of the sides of a triangle are x, 13 and 37 units. How many integer values of x are possible?

The sum of any two sides of the triangle should be greater than the third side for the triangle to exist! Therefore x+37>13, x+13>37, 13+37>x. Therefore 24<x<50 hence 25 integral values of x satisfy the above inequalities.
