Two lines meet to form an angle of y y degrees and are tangent to a circle at points A and C, respectively. What is the value of y y in degrees?

A tangent line forms a 90 degree angle with the radius of a circle.

x = 360 - 100-110-80=70

Now we have a quadrilateral and the sum of the interior angles of a quadrilateral is equal to 360 degrees. Therefore,

y = 360 - 90 - 90 - 80 - 70 = 30 degrees

There is a minor typo in your first calculation. The 70 and 80 are reversed.
