The trick of this problem if for people to say one as it is (0,0). However, x always intersects Tan(x) since y=x domain is always infinity as well as Tan(x) domain is all values. Another idea is to use algebra.

x = Tan(x)

x = Arctan (x)

If sub into one angle or an x value, it will always produce a different tan inverse value every time.

The range for the function tan x is from negative infinity to positive infinity. The domain is infinite as well. A line with a slope other than undefined will intersect infinite amounts of times

We can see it clearly by drawing graphs of the given functions
