A floor is to be covered with small tiles and made into a mosaic. The area of the floor is $80,000\text{ cm}^2$ . For every square meter of tiling you want to seal to the floor, you need 1 tube of glue. How many tubes of glue do you need for the whole floor?

As $1m=100cm$ , $1m^2=100\cdot100cm^2=10,000cm^2$ .

Now we are given that area of the floor is $80,000 cm^2$ and $1$ glue stick is needed for $1m^2$ of the floor.So we need to convert $80,000cm^2$ into $m^2$ . $80,000cm^2=\dfrac {80,000}{100\cdot100}m^2=8m^2$ which is our answer.
