We know from the first two statements that Lily runs fastest. Therefore, the third statement must be false.

Let speed of Mara be $a$ , Gail be $b$ and Lily be $c$ . Then first statement states that $a > b$ . Second statement states that $c > a$ . Combining them we get:- $c > a > b$ . So, $c > b$ . But third statement states that $b > c$ . So, the answer is $\color{#69047E}{\boxed{\text{False}}}$ .
