We have P A = 3 2 , \frac{P}{A} = \frac{3}{2}, but P 45 A = 3 7 . \frac{P-45}{A} = \frac{3}{7}. Notice that P 45 A = P A 45 A = 3 2 45 A , \frac{P-45}{A} = \frac{P}{A}-\frac{45}{A} = \frac{3}{2} - \frac{45}{A}, so 45 A = 3 2 3 7 = 15 14 , \frac{45}{A} = \frac{3}{2} - \frac{3}{7} = \frac{15}{14}, so A = 14 15 45 = 42. A = \frac{14 \cdot 15}{45} = 42.

There is a mistake in d last part A=14.45÷15

X = A +P. Then 0.4X = 0.7(X - 45) ==> X = 0.7 x 45 / 0.3 = 105 ==> A = 0.4X = 0.4 x 105 = 42

X=A+P, where A=40% & P=60% If 45 is the 30% of X then find the value of A=?

If 45 is 30% of X then 100% of X would be = (45/30)*100 =150

Now remaining 70% would be = 150-45=105

And the value of A would be= 105*40% =42

There are 3x pears and 2x apples. 3x-45 pears leads to the following: 2x = (7/3)*(3x-45) = 7x - 105. (Because there are now 7/3 times as many apples as pears.) Solving for x: 5x = 105, so x = 105/5 = 21. The number of apples is therefore 42.

If x is the number of apple then 6x/4 - 45 = 30/100 (x+6x/4 - 45) => 60x - 1800 = 30x - 540 => 30x = 1260 => x = 42.
