A classical mechanics problem by Jeet Dholakia

If a long rod(ideal) is made red by heating it up at high temperature, and then if the rod is suspended in a vacuum chamber (no medium in contact with rod to transfer heat),then will the heat be able to descipate or the rod will remain hot?,and if yes (heat will descipate), then how?

Heat will descipate in form of electromagnetic radiations. The rod will remain as it is with its coditions. Heat will never ever descipate. Heat will descipate in form of infrared radiations.
