A classical mechanics problem by U Z

A cylindrical pipe of diameter 1m is kept on a truck . If the truck now starts moving with constant acceleration of 1 m / s 2 1 m/s^{2} the pipe rools backward without slipping on the floor of the truck and finally falls on the road.

If the pipe moves a total length of 4m on the floor of the truck. Find how much distance the pipe moves on the road before it finally stops. The coefficient of friction between pipe and road is 0.4 . take g = 10 m / s 2 10m/s^{2}

The answer is 0.166.
