A classical mechanics problem by Pankaj Joshi

The velocity(v) of a particle decreases in relation to the path traversed (x) according to the linear law v = v 0 a x v = v_0 - ax . The time taken by the particle to get to the point where the graph cuts the axis of abscissa is ;(velocity and distance have been laid along 'y' and 'x' axis )

v 0 2 a \frac{v_0}{2a} Infinity 2 v 0 a \frac{2v_0}{a} v 0 a \frac{v_0}{a}
