We know that, v^2=u^2+2gh ( g is acting downwards, so it is +ve) Here, g=9.8 ms-1 h= 7m & u= 0 ms-1 ( the ball falls from a stationary condition )

so we have, v^2= 0 + 2 x 9.8 x 7 = 137.2 therefore, v= 11. 713 ms-1
