Martin's math class got the results from last evaluation. The average for the class in general is 85%. The average for girls' results is 84% while the average for boys' results is 87%. If there are 27 students in the math class, how many boys are they?

From total average , distance of boys average is ( 87% - 85% ) = 2 and distance of girls average is ( 85% - 84 % ) = 1 . So, 2 * 9 ( boys ) = 1 * 18 ( girls )

That is why boy are 9 .
