Side of cube is 6 it is cut into cubes of side two Therefore 3 cubes are formed If we take a cube it has 12 edges on one edge the cube coloured on exactly two sides is n-2 where n= no of unit cube , so no of cubes coloured on two sides on one edge Is n-2=3-2=1 on 12 edge 12×1=12
