Total amount= Rs 25,000. Wife's share= 1/8 of 25,000=Rs 3,125. Amount left = 25,000 - 3,125= Rs 21,875. Ratio of shares of son : daughters= 2 : 1= 2 × 1 : 1 × 2= 2 : 2 ( because according to Islamic laws of inheritance son inherits twice the share of a daughter and further there is one son and two daughters). Sum of ratios=2+2=4. Son's share= 2/4 × 21,875=Rs 10,937.50 and Daughter's share= 2/4 × 10,937.50= Rs 5,468.75.
