Let the number you think be X X . 2 [ 2 x + 5 2[2x+5 ]+ 2 x 2-x is always a multiple of three. Try it out now! XD

I think you should mention that 2 ( 2 x + 5 ) + 2 x = 4 x + 10 + 2 x = 3 x + 12 = 3 ( x + 4 ) 2(2x+5)+2-x = 4x+10+2-x = 3x + 12 = 3(x+4) , and therefore will always be a multiple of 3.
