If x is the amount that he sold in the morning, then 2x is the amount which he sold in the afternoon. x + 2x = 3x is the total amount. So 3x = 360 => x = 360/3 => x = 120 Therefore he sold 120 Kgs in the morning and 2.120 = 240 Kgs in the afternoon.

2 3 × 360 = 240 \large \frac{2}{3} \times 360 = 240

x+2x=360 →3x=360 →x=120 so, 2x=2*120=240.
