1.2 * 0.4 = 0.48

0.2 + 0.12 = 0.32

0.48/0.32 = 48/32 = 3/2 = 1.5

Moderator note:

Simple standard approach.

Is it difficult? 1.2 × 0.4 0.2 + 0.12 \large \frac{1.2\times0.4}{0.2 + 0.12}

= 1.2 × 0.4 0.2 + 0.12 × 100 100 \large = \frac{1.2\times0.4}{0.2 + 0.12}\times \frac{100}{100}

= 12 × 4 32 \large = \frac{12\times4}{32}

= 48 32 = 1.5 \large = \frac{48}{32} = \boxed{1.5}

1.2 × 0.4 0.2 + 0.12 = 0.48 0.32 = 1.5 \dfrac{1.2 × 0.4}{0.2 + 0.12} = \dfrac{0.48}{0.32} = \color{#69047E}{\boxed{1.5}} .
