Mean of all the elements of the set is 6 6 . If we continue removing the subsets ( 1 , 11 ) , ( 2 , 10 ) , ( 3 , 9 ) , ( 4 , 8 ) , ( 5 , 7 ) (1,11), (2,10),(3,9),(4,8),(5,7) , the mean of the elements of the remaining set always remains 6 6 . Hence the required answer is 5 \boxed 5 .

Nice! I am wondering whether this was really asked in such a difficult exam or this is a practice question? @Zakir Husain , please tell me!
