Assuming u u is velocity at time t t , then displacement is given by:

s ( 4 ) = 0 4 u d t = 0 4 a t d t = [ 1 2 a t 2 ] 0 4 = 8 a s(4) = \displaystyle \int_0^4 {u \space dt} = \int_0^4 {at \space dt} = \left[ \dfrac{1}{2} a t^2 \right]_0^4 = \boxed{8a}
