By Gauss law, Electric flux= Charge contained in the guassian surface / Electric permittivity

Here it is stated that an electron is placed at one of the corners. So that 1/8 of an electron is inside the gaussian surface. Therefore the charge of the electron inside the gaussian surface becomes 1/8e.

Final answer= (1/8e)/ E
