M a r i a + J o h n = 60 Maria+John=60

M a r i a = 12 Maria=12

so, J o h n = 60 12 = 48 John=60-12=48 years old

Suppose , John's age is x x

Now,

12 + x = 60 12 + x = 60

x = 60 12 = 48 \Rightarrow x = 60 - 12 = 48

Therefore x = 48 x = 48

Easy

60 - 12 = 48

x+12=60 x=60-12 x=48 x always come with y so dividing equally between them its 24 each....Looks like someone is going to be 24 soon
