A classical mechanics problem by angeli joyce tolomia

A farmer hitches her tractor to a sled loaded with firewood and pull it a distance of 20 m along the level ground. The total weight of sled and the load is 14700 N. The tractor exerts a constant 5000 N force at a n angle of 36.9 degrees. There is a 3500 N friction opposing the sled's motion. Find the work done by each force acting on the sled and the total work done by all forces in J (joules).

The answer is 10000.

cos(36.9)=0.8 Fcos(36.9)=40000 Net work done = (40000-3500)X20=10000 EASY BUT NICE PROBLEM !!

The answer should be more like 9968 since cos(36.9) isn't exactly .8. Also where did the 40000 come from in your solution? Given the values you put there, the final answer would be 730000.
