x = 3 x 1 + x 2 + x 3 = 3 3 − 7 + 1 0 = 2
y = 3 y 1 + y 2 + y 3 = 3 − 5 + 4 − 2 − 1
The centroid is at point ( 2 , − 1 ) .
Centroid is the arithmetic mean of the vertices of the triangle.
3 - 7 +10 = 6 so 6 / 3 = 2 (x value)
-5 + 4 - 2 = -3 so -3 / 3 = -1 (y value)
