Centroid is the arithmetic mean of the vertices of the triangle.

3 - 7 +10 = 6 so 6 / 3 = 2 (x value)

-5 + 4 - 2 = -3 so -3 / 3 = -1 (y value)

x = x 1 + x 2 + x 3 3 = 3 7 + 10 3 = 2 x=\dfrac{x_1+x_2+x_3}{3}=\dfrac{3-7+10}{3}=2

y = y 1 + y 2 + y 3 3 = 5 + 4 2 3 1 y=\dfrac{y_1+y_2+y_3}{3}=\dfrac{-5+4-2}{3}-1

The centroid is at point ( 2 , 1 ) (2,-1) .
