We are told the total surface area of this cylinder is 484. Set up the equality.

(2pir^2) + (2pir*h)=484 ( the two circles and body of cylinder)

Solve for r= 7.0017

Volume = pir^2h= 616.05

616 is correct

We are told the total surface area of this cylinder is 484. Set up the equality.

(2 pi r^2) + (2 pi r*h)=484 ( the two circles and body of cylinder)

Solve for r= 7.0017

Volume = pi r^2 h= 616.05
