Of the 120 people in the room, 3/5 are women. If 2/3 of the people are married, what is the maximum no. of women in the room who could be unmarried?

There are 72 women, 48 men. 80 people are married, so if all (a maximum) the men are married, there must be (a minimum of) 32 married women. This leaves (a maximum) 40 unmarried women

3/5 are women so 3/5 of 120=72 then no. of male =120-72 =48 as married person is 2/3 =2*120/3=80 for max no. of female to be unmarried, the all male should be married i.e 48 males are married, married female=80-48=32, so unmarried female =72-32=40
