A fireman, 50 m away from the burning building, directs a stream of water from a ground level fire hose at an angle of 30 degrees above the horizontal. If the speed of the stream as it leaves the hose is 40 m/s, at what height will the stream of water strike the building?

This problem is that of the motion of a projectile....we resolute the velocity vector into (40 cos 30..horizontal) and (40 sin 30) vertically. Time taken to reach wall = 50/(40 cos 30) then use relation S=ut-0.5g(t2).
