A classical mechanics problem by Karthik Rocks

A force of 100 N acts on a mass of 5 kg for 10 s . If the mass starts from rest ,after 10 s ,it starts to move with uniform velocity and collides with a wall . After collision it comes back with the same speed and direction. Then change in momentum before and after collision is :

zero 2000 kg m/s 20 kg m/s 200 kg m/s

We use here F = dp/dt

while it goes in positive x direction it is 1000 kg m/sec and while returning back...it is 2000 kgm/s
