Side of square 1= 6 cm Side of square 2 = 4 cm

Area of square 1= 36 cm^2 Area of square 2 = 16 cm^2

Difference in area = 36-16=20cm^2

Easy find area of square then subtract the area of smaller square. \( 6\times 6\) - \( 4\times 4\)=20
