The answet is 31 eggs. Well you can start out by trying the options if you have them and 31 fits the best :- (i) 1st customer, half eggs sold 31/2 = 15.5 + half an egg = 16 eggs total, leaving 15 (31 - 16) (ii) 2nd customer, half eggs sold 15/2 = 7.5 + half an egg = 8 eggs total, leaving 7 (15 - 8) (iii) 3rd customer, half eggs sold 7/2 = 3.5 + half an egg = 4 eggs total, leaving 3 (7 - 4) But I don't know how did he sell half eggs without breaking them ?
