A classical mechanics problem by Siddharth Parkar

2 vertical communicating cylinders of different diameters contain a gas at constant temperature under piston of mass M 1 = 1 kg M_1 = 1\text{ kg} and M 2 = 2 kg M_2 = 2\text{ kg} and the pistons are in vacuum and at the same height H 0 = 0.2 mts H_0 =0.2 \text{ mts} .

What will be difference h in their height if the mass of the first piston is made as large as the mass of the second piston?

The answer is 0.3.
